Job Summary

The Faculty of Health Sciences at UFV plays a key role in educating the next generation of health care personnel, and offers a variety of paths for students to achieve their goals.

The Dental department invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term Faculty appointment. The successful applicants will be expected to teach equal to 1 FTE workload, including lectures and clinical. Responsibilities will also include tracking/advising a student group, overseeing student practicum placements, and other areas needed by the department.

Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must have a Certified Dental Assistant certificate with a practicing licensure with BCCOHP. A Provincial Instructor Diploma and a Baccalaureate degree will be preferred (enrolment in a degree program will be considered).  Candidate should have a strong current clinical practice foundation as a Certified Dental Assistant along with a record of classroom and clinical teaching experience.
