Job Summary:

What is Continuing Education?

Continuing Education offers short-term programs and courses that equip students with the skills they need to switch careers, upskill for a promotion, or re-enter the workforce. Most of our programs are 3-12 months long, and our students graduate with the training, practical experience, and qualifications they need to be job-ready.

Continuing Education is a department of UFV’s Faculty of Education, Community, and Human Development (FECHD). We have been offering high-quality lifelong education options to people in the Fraser Valley since 1974 and are well-known for our high standards and consistent quality. In addition to the many courses Continuing Education offers, we also provide custom courses tailored to meet the needs of businesses and organizations.

Learn more about UFV Continuing Education at www.ufv.ca/ce, or email continuingeducation@ufv.ca if you have a question.

Continuing Education instructors are experienced professionals in their subject areas. They teach previously developed course materials to meet learning outcomes, and they incorporate their expertise, real-life examples, and effective teaching strategies into the course and materials. CE instructors document their students’ attendance, participation, and progress; grade assignments and assessments; and create a student-centred learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
