Job Summary

The Modern Languages department at the University of the Fraser Valley invites applicants for one (1) one-year Limited Term Faculty appointments in French. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a total of seven (7) sections from first to fourth year.

Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components. The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, service, events, and initiatives.

 

Qualifications

The successful applicant must have a native like fluency in French, a PhD or solid indication of imminent completion in the area of French Language and literature with a strong record of teaching excellence. A good knowledge of BlackBoard and Learning Branch are an asset.

We are seeking a collegial, energetic and innovative individual who has successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level and who communicates effectively with students both in and out of the classroom; and can develop new and innovative modes of delivery.
