Job Summary:

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice has approximately 500 program students and offers a BA degree in Criminal Justice, an Honours program, and a Master of Arts (Criminal Justice) degree.

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice requires sessional faculty for the Fall 2022 semester and beyond to teach CRIM 210 (Youth Crime and the Youth Justice System). A description of this course is available at: https://www.ufv.ca/calendar/current/CourseDescriptions/CRIM.htm.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess at minimum a Master of Arts degree in criminology, criminal justice, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. Preferred criteria include experience working in the criminal justice system with youth and previous post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence (or the potential for teaching excellence), as well as proficiency in the subject area.

 

We are seeking collegial, energetic, and innovative individuals who are able to effectively mentor students from a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities. A commitment to an ongoing program of professional development is required.
